Dr. R.C.J.M. Donders heeft geneeskunde gestudeerd in Utrecht en specialiseerde zich tot neuroloog in het Universitair Medisch Centrum te Utrecht. Hij promoveerde daar op het proefschrift "Transient Monocular Blindness: diagnosis and prognosis of different subtypes". Sinds 2000 is hij werkzaam als neuroloog in het Diakonessenhuis.
